Mrzlica (1122 m) is one of the higher Zasavje peaks on the ridge between Zasavje and the Savinja Valley. The northern slopes are mostly overgrown with beech, and the cleared meadows and pastures on the south side reach all the way to the top. It has been declared a landscape park and is protected under the Natura 2000 program. The area is an important habitat for cuckoos.
