We designed the website https://www.visittrbovlje.si in such a way that it is accessible to all visitors of the website by adapting it in various ways, and at the same time their experience is as pleasant and positive as possible. Accessibility was formed on the basis of self-assessment in accordance with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act (ZDSMA).
The website is designed in accordance with the latest trends and requirements of the web. The operation as well as the appearance of the website is checked on all popular and newer browsers and, of course, on various devices (computers, laptops, phones and tablets).
The website is designed to be accessible and user-friendly to all online visitors to this website. It is made following the guidelines according to the WCAG 2.0 standard. (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0). The website thus further improves the user experience for people with disabilities.
For compatibility of websites with assistive technologies and accessibility with gadgets such as screen readers, the website follows the guidelines of the WAI-ARIA (Web Accessibility Initiative - Assistive Rich Internet Applications) specification. In the HTML code of web pages, descriptions and attributes with additional information for dedicated applications are added. Examples are alternative texts for graphic elements, input field and button labels, etc.
There is a special tool on the site, the Accessibility Tool, which provides additional accessibility features for the site. This appears when you click on the blue icon in the upper left corner. The user is enabled to:
- easy navigation with keys on the keyboard with a border of the focus
- area (red color),
- larger font size; bold,
- smaller font size
- display of colors in gray,
- highlighted links - individual links,
- site map
It makes it easier for visitors to use the website with keyboard shortcuts:
- move by elements (Tab),
- move back through items (Shift + Tab),
- click the highlighted item (Enter),
- Page Down Movements (Space or Page Down)
- Page Up,
- jump to the main content (Alt + Shift + S).
If the CSS style template is not supported in the browser, all information can still be accessed, but some content may be duplicated or redundant. The web code contains additional texts intended to be displayed on screens of various sizes.
Many of the WCAG and WAI-ARIA guidelines for improving site accessibility can be interpreted subjectively. Interpretations may also change over time.
Not all images and graphics contain replacement text.
If you have problems accessing any of the content on this website, please let us know at email@example.com, as we want your user experience to be as pleasant as possible.
